Why did I lose my intuition and spiritual gifts, and how do I get them back?

You haven’t lost your intuition or spiritual gifts; they were simply conditioned out of you and sidelined in favor of survival. These innate capacities are part of your true self, but a nervous system operating in chronic “brace-for-impact” mode mutes your subtle perception. Your path back isn’t about finding them; it’s about remembering they never left.

Why did my intuition disappear?

Intuition is your highest consciousness communicating with you, but a world that rewards predictability often devalues it. My own experience showed me that if your system has been chronically bracing for life, emotionally, physically, mentally, energetically, your intuitive channels naturally quiet down. When your body is dysregulated, it prioritizes survival over subtle perception. Chronic rumination, hypervigilance, and unhealed trauma also drown out clear intuitive signals, teaching your body that sensitivity equals danger and leading to disconnection.

Can I get my intuition back after trauma?

Your brain is already wired for nonlocal perception, as quantum biology shows, and your heart’s electromagnetic field registers subtle energies. These capacities, often called the “clairs” (clear seeing, hearing, knowing, and feeling), aren’t special gifts; they’re dormant muscles. Reclaiming them isn’t through forcing, but through recalibration and healing that allows your nervous system to soften and feel safe again. As your energy centers communicate and your field clears, you regain internal safety signals, stop outsourcing your knowing, and naturally align with your highest self and timeline.

I dive into this deeper in an episode of my podcast, The Simple Source, called “How to Reclaim Your Intuition and Spiritual Gifts and Trust Yourself.”
